It's tempting to say that churches don't need websites and the truth is you don't; but, websites are unquestionably helpful. With a website, you can reach millions of people on any given week, without automatically having to expand your building.

You can upload videos of your sermons, announcements on upcoming events or guests, blogs about recent/ongoing events or even blogs on subjects you want to reach people about right now, but aren't to preach about in a sermon anytime soon. You can offer encouragement all week, instead of just on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Depending on who you are, this is probably sounding like a lot of work about now, but it really isn't. It would take maybe 30 minutes to an hour, once a week, to maintain the average site for a non-"megachurch," and it could easily be done by a volunteer or, for a low monthly amount, by us.

The Bible says to go out and share the gospel with the world, through our words and actions. We are to take every opportunity to share who God is--His word, His will for us and His personality--and we are to take every opportunity to help our brothers and sisters. This is why we at Precipice Media Ltd. are focusing not just on companies, but on helping the Church. As Christians, our primary focus should always be on the spiritual, physical and psychological well-being of those in our own communities; but, once the needs in our communities are taken care of, we should offer encouragement to our brothers and sisters in other communities and join with them to help cover the needs of others.

A website is now a key part of telling people about your church and about God; but, if you're a small to mid-size church, you may or may not have the money to hire the occasional person focused on helping churches. A site I was just looking at charges 8 times as much as we do for the basic setup and 3 times as much for the monthly hosting. Their custom package is approximately 18 times higher than our highest price. Does that mean they're charging too much? Not at all. Their custom package is easily 1/3 of the market price. Ours is less because we recognize that many small to mid-size churches aren't going to be able to put almost $3500 into a website without first saving up for several months, and may decide as a result to not get a website at all--or worse. They may try to design a website on their own without knowing even the basics of design and end up with something that, to put it nicely, makes them look as if they aren't serious as a church.

We will either use photography provided by you or visit your church to take pictures. We will get an idea of who you are and what you want to portray; then, we will build your website to reflect the unique personality and message of your church.
